Chukars Get Clonked by Tula, 4-1
|
Chicago Tula starter Torvald Bogermans hurled his team past the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-1. Bogermans got the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Bogermans allowed 1 run. Chicago now has a record of 49-40 with the win.
The Chukars had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Tula going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Rod Clark came to the plate. Clark hit a 3-run home run on a first pitch cutter from Idaho Falls hurler Marcos Vigil. It was Clark's 11th home run of the year.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Clark.
