Matsumoto Lifts Shredders to 17-7 Triumph
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Tetsu Matsumoto, the Hollywood Shredders defeated the Detroit Elite, 17-7. Matsumoto went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Shredders. Dave Becker picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-1. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. The Shredders now have a mark of 12-15.

Matsumoto had a big hit for Hollywood with one out in the top of the seventh. With Hollywood leading 11-3, Matsumoto hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Shredders up, 14-3.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Matsumoto.
