Kennesaw Gets 2-1 Win
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Kennesaw Jets eventually prevailed.
The Kennesaw Jets had to overcome a fine effort from Athletic Club KC pitcher Chris Potter to grab a narrow 2-1 win at ACKC Youth Field. Potter went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Fernando Marín converted his 4th save in 8 tries.
Kennesaw used the bat of Luke Jarrom to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Jets ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We put together a nice win," Jarrom said.
The Jets now have a record of 38-50.
