Win Lifts Seahawks to 46-42
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks took Monroeville pitcher David Cuevas's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Seahwaks Stadium. The final score had Myrtle Beach getting past the Yinzers, 5-2. Cuevas went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 2. The win puts Myrtle Beach at 46-42 this season.
Pablo Olartecoechea took Júlio Castillo deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Seahawks on top, 3-0. In all, Olartecoechea had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Olartecoechea.
