Chiefs Topple Chukars with Late Rally

Caldwell and Idaho Falls duked it out and the Chiefs came out victorious.
The Caldwell Chiefs topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 3-2, in USPL Single A action at Pipers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Caldwell pitcher Brandon Campbell. Matt Thomas closed the door for Caldwell, picking up his 6th save of the year.
Caldwell took a 3-2 lead on Greg Mooney's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Mooney hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Idaho Falls pitcher Derek Watson shaking his head.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mooney told the Caldwell Citizen.
The loss makes Idaho Falls 31-54.
