Gómez hits 3 home runs, Leads Blaze to Win
|
Led by Jorge Gómez, the South Beach Blaze downed the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 7-5. Gómez hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times for the Blaze. South Beach has now won 5 straight, while the Seahawks have lost 3 in a row.
The Blaze got a big at-bat from left fielder Derek Tyerman, who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Blaze on top, 3-0.
Tyerman called the triumph "a good team win."
