Watson Lifts Blaze to 9-2 Win
The 9-2 South Beach win over Myrtle Beach was due largely to Dave Watson. The Blaze shortstop went 2-2 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Jalo Lappi picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-1. He struck out 2 in 6.2 innings. With the win, South Beach upped its record to 52-28.

South Beach took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Charles Barnes hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Blaze.

"I thought we played a nice game," Barnes told the South Beach Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
