The Ladue Rams and Tulsa Otters provided some drama for the home crowd.

Getting a good performance from left fielder José Rico, the Tulsa Otters defeated the Ladue Rams, 6-5. Rico went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Otters. Tulsa reliever Dave Martin got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Juan Ramírez was tagged with the loss.

Had Anthony Potter not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Potter hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Otters.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rico. "And not try to do too much."

Tulsa, now 11-6, has played well in the early going.
