Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Myrtle Beach Seahawks and Laredo Hawks.
Myrtle Beach Seahawks starter Tom Chapman was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Laredo Hawks, 4-2. The 5th-place Seahawks have won 5 consecutive games.
The Seahawks had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Myrtle Beach, with no one out. Laredo, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Matsusuke Saikawa dug in at the plate, but on a 0-2 fastball, he struck out.
