Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hawks
The Laredo Hawks faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Sancho Altagracia, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ramblers Ballpark by a final score of 6-3. Altagracia went 8.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. With the win, Laredo pushed its record to 37-29.

Laredo used a clutch hit from Matsusuke Saikawa to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hawks ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Saikawa told a Laredo Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
