Baby Blues Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start

Quebec City right-hander Shawn Walker pitched his team to victory over the Hudsonville Flanderses at Dylan Park. The final score was 4-1. Walker went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-1. Santiago Díaz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Quebec City took a 4-1 lead on Elliot Banks's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Banks hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Hudsonville pitcher Je-ju Sobong visibly frustrated.
"We take it day by day here," said Banks, "and today was a good one for us."
The Baby Blues, now 3-11, have not found much traction so far in 2046.
