Seahawks Pull Even With 6-1 Victory
|
Getting an impressive start from Brian Boggs, Myrtle Beach beat Kennesaw by the score of 6-1. Boggs went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-5. Myrtle Beach is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Seahawks got a big boost from left fielder Ralph Thornton who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second inning off Jets hurler Chester Bishop. It was his 18th walk of the season and put Myrtle Beach on top, 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Thornton said.
