Behind an impressive start by Esteban Arroyo, Laredo beat Chicago, 3-2. Kelsey Conrad snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 3-0 on the season. Michael Donovan, credited with the save, is now 13 for 16 in save opportunities.
Qing-lai Mak aided the Laredo cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Laredo manager Leonardo Sánchez. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The triumph puts Laredo at 36-28 for the season.
