Seahawks Prevail, 1-0, Over Caldwell

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Eitoku Tanaka, who kept Caldwell hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Seahawks win at Seahwaks Stadium. Myrtle Beach's record now stands at 30-33, placing them 8th in the Premier A.
The Chiefs had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Seahawks going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old third baseman Joshua Sheppard came to the plate. Sheppard hit a run-scoring double on a full count fastball from Caldwell hurler Gudrat Tumanov. It was Sheppard's 5th double of the year.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Myrtle Beach manager Omer van Osch. "Our pregame was pretty good."
