Hermit Crabs Come Back Late to Top Hobeaus, 3-1
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Huntington Hermit Crabs and the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus. Huntington won it, 3-1. Huntington starter Homer Sanders was in command. The winner was Huntington reliever Juan Ramírez, now 8-1. The loser was Adrian Griffith. Juan González, credited with the save, is now 15 for 17 in save opportunities.
Huntington took a 3-1 lead on Shaun Kingsley's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Smoky Mountain pitcher Adrian Griffith in the bottom of the eighth.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Kingsley told the Huntington Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
The Silver A-leading Hermit Crabs have a record of 68-27.
