The Levittown Blue Dragons got a strong performance from pitcher Lando de Ruijter, who stymied the Laredo offense en route to a win, 8-1, at Hawks Field. Levittown is now 25-35.

Levittown used a well-timed hit by Abdoulaye Shaik to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Dragons ahead, 6-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said de Ruijter.
