Jets Come Up Short at Caldwell, 5-4
|
The Caldwell Chiefs and Kennesaw Jets obliged fans looking for a good time.
The Caldwell Chiefs grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Kennesaw Jets at Pipers Ballpark. Caldwell center fielder António Marquis went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 3. The save went to Carl Keller, his 3rd this season.
Esteban Costello, the Caldwell second baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-1, Chiefs. For the game, Costello went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Costello.
Caldwell is now 30-29, while Kennesaw is 27-32.
