Hawks Stick Blue Dragons with 10-6 Loss
The Laredo Hawks defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 10-6, at Hawks Field today. Leading the charge for Laredo was third baseman Calvin Chappell. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. José Hernández got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. The second-place Hawks go to 34-24.

Arturo Collazo, the Laredo right fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 7-6, Hawks. For the game, Collazo was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Collazo said.
