Franco Delivers Walk-Off Win for Hobeaus
Smoky Mountain picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, toppling the Washington Generals, 3-1. Pitcher Adrian Griffith was one of the reasons the Hobeaus triumphed. Ira Bischoff, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Smoky Mountain now has a 3-game win streak.

Smoky Mountain won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Lung Zhou on the mound for Washington, second baseman Jorge Franco hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Hobeaus fans to their feet.

"Adrian did a tremendous job," said Smoky Mountain manager Hiroji Nakagawa.
