Streaking Jets Win Another One, 8-2
|
The Kennesaw Jets picked up a win at The Cave at Levittown, knocking off the Levittown Blue Dragons, 8-2. Starting pitcher Todd Johnson was a big reason why. Johnson, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. The Blue Dragons, now 16-28, have lost 4 in a row.
Kennesaw used a well-timed hit by Luke Jarrom to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Jets ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Jarrom.
