Chukars Pick Up 6-3 Win
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars beat the Monroeville Yinzers by a score of 6-3. Idaho Falls right fielder Doug Randall deserved the lion's share of the credit. Randall was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Chukars. Derek Watson, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. George Jetson finished the game for Idaho Falls and earned his 7th save.
Had Joaquim Estao not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Estao hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Chukars.
