Tula Take Down Jets, 11-5
|
The Chicago Tula beat the Kennesaw Jets, 11-5, at Ramblers Ballpark. The win was due in part to first baseman Ethan Lewis, who went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Craig Brooks, who threw 100 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 9 hits. The current losing streak for Kennesaw has reached 4 games.
Rod Clark, who is tied for 10th in the PA in RBI with 16, helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the center fielder went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Clark told the Chicago Citizen.
