South Beach Blaze starter George Hawkins turned in a top-notch performance against the Idaho Falls Chukars at The Ballpark on the Beach. The result was a win for the Blaze, 1-0. South Beach reliever Jalo Lappi was the winner. His record is now 3-1. George Jetson took the loss. South Beach now sits in 5th place in the Premier A at 14-14.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 12th, an error by the Chukars allowed the Blaze to score the winning run.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Idaho Falls manager Jorge Silva said following the tough loss.
