Blue Dragons Hang 7-3 Loss on U-24
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons weathered an outstanding game by Athletic Club KC left fielder Motoki Yamasaki to topple the U-24, 7-3. Yamasaki belted 2 home runs. Levittown reliever Henry Missing picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Albert Rojas was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Blue Dragons improved to 12-16.
Had Ming-an Szema not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Szema hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Blue Dragons.
In comments to the Levittown Herald, Szema insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
