Blaze Pull Even With 6-4 Victory
South Beach Blaze starter Shan-tang Yang pitched a strong game against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at The Ballpark on the Beach, leading the Blaze to victory, 6-4. Yang, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Today's win puts South Beach at 12-12, while Myrtle Beach falls to 16-8.

The Blaze got a lift from center fielder Bill Zimmerman, who in the bottom of the seventh hit a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season put the Blaze on top, 6-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Yang told the South Beach Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
