The Myrtle Beach Seahawks beat the Chicago Tula, 2-0. Myrtle Beach pitcher and Toyohashi, Japan, native Eitoku Tanaka led the way. Tom Chapman, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Seahawks, now 13-6, have been playing some good baseball.
The Seahawks had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Myrtle Beach, with one out. Chicago, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Robert Robinson dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he struck out.
