Walleye Fall Short, 5-4, at Washington
|
The Washington Generals picked up a win at Washington Park, taking down the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-4. Starting pitcher Luis Castillo was a big reason why. The win elevated the Generals to 39-30.
Jim Smith swatted a 2-run home run for Washington in the bottom of the second. The shortstop went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Walla Walla manager Eddie O'Bryan. "The effort was great."
