Grey Wolves Sneak Past Bullets, 1-0
|
Vancouver overcame a superior effort from Perry Cox to beat Baltimore, 1-0. The Baltimore pitcher threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The win belongs to Michael Knight in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ron Lucas took the loss for Baltimore. The Bullets, now 4-8, continue their poor start.
Roy Bagnall was the walk-off hero for Vancouver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grey Wolves left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We'll savor this win," Bagnall told the Vancouver Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
