Gallos Reel Off Another Win
|
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus got a sterling performance from pitcher Noud Taaij, but the Delmarva Gallos still prevailed, 3-2. Taaij threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. Delmarva reliever Yong-zhan Long picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Kliment Rzempiel shouldered the loss. The Gallos, now 29-35, have won 10 in a row.
Todd Gallagher hit a run-scoring double off Kliment Rzempiel in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Gallos in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Gallagher had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Smoky Mountain manager Hiroji Nakagawa.
