Godfathers Lose, 3-1, to Washington
|
The performance of Garth Morrison proved critical in helping Washington beat Pontiac, 3-1. The Generals center fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The victory gives Washington a record of 36-26.
Washington took a 3-1 lead on Morrison's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Ángel Vallés in the top of the sixth, propelled Washington to the win.
Morrison called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
