Blue Dragons Win at Laredo, 6-5
|
The Laredo Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Michael Donovan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Levittown. The Blue Dragons won the game, 6-5. Donovan came in in relief and pitched to 15 batters. Levittown reliever Tuo-zhou Zhào picked up the win to move to 1-0. Esteban Arroyo suffered the loss. Rodger Asmus was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
The Blue Dragons benefited from a costly error in the top of the second. With Brody King at bat and Levittown leading 2-0, the Laredo miscue allowed Levittown to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Levittown manager Terry King.
Laredo falls to 3-2.
