The Delmarva Gallos did just enough to sneak past the Pontiac Godfathers, 4-3, at Pontiac Copperdome. Delmarva pitcher Thomas Rice, in particular, had a standout performance. Yong-zhan Long picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Joe Allen was tagged with the loss. Pontiac has now lost 6 straight.

Delmarva used the timely hitting of Ken Brown to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Gallos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Brown told the Delmarva Daily News.
