Godfathers Upend Generals, 4-1
|
Pontiac starter Juan Ochoa had a strong outing against the Washington Generals at Washington Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Pontiac reliever Juan Ochoa got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ricardo Hernández was tagged with the loss. Pontiac raised its record to 26-20 with the win.
Pontiac used a well-timed hit by Bindu Mongia to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Godfathers ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll savor this win," Mongia told the Pontiac News, "then get ready for the next game."
