Generals Win at Smoky Mountain, 4-0
|
The Washington Generals faced a tough opponent in Smoky Mountain pitcher Luis Barrios, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Smokies Stadium by a final score of 4-0. Barrios went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. The win for the Generals lifted their record to 26-17.
Stan Brown, the 22-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Brown contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Washington up, 4-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Brown said.
