Both teams had their chances, but the Walla Walla Walleye eventually prevailed.

The 5-4 Walla Walla win over Pontiac was due in large part to Alfredo Bermúdes. The Walleye catcher was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. The win was credited to Michael Kilshaw in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Mike Morris took the loss.

Walla Walla used the timely hitting of Wen Mi to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Walleye on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Mi.

The win puts Walla Walla at 17-25.
