Vandals Come Up Short at Pontiac, 3-2
The Pontiac Godfathers had to overcome a big game from Eugene catcher José Negrón to leave Pontiac Copperdome with a victory. And they did, winning 3-2. Negrón went 2-3 with a double. Joe Allen recorded his 3rd save for Pontiac. The victory gives Pontiac a record of 22-10.

In the bottom of the fifth, Barnes Libbinga delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Pontiac second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Godfathers in front, 3-2.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Libbinga.
