Generals Top Godfathers, 6-2
|
The 6-2 Washington win over Pontiac was due largely to Anthony Bonham. The Generals catcher went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Generals raised their record to 18-9.
Bonham had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Generals went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bonham said after the game.
