Hermit Crabs Top Vandals, 4-2, Behind Hehir
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs got a strong performance from pitcher Brad Hehir, who stymied the Eugene offense en route to a win, 4-2, at The Shell. Chris Edwards closed the door for Huntington, picking up his 6th save of the year. With the win, Huntington raised its record to 11-9.
Hehir was effective for Huntington, seldom allowing the Vandals to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 99 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Eugene to just 2 runs on 2 hits.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hehir told the Huntington Gazette.
