Caterpillars Deal Torch 4-2 Defeat
|
Grand Forks got a strong outing from Nathan Sims as the Caterpillars defeated the Mancelona Torch, 4-2, at Torch Field. The win gives Grand Forks a season record of 55-38.
The Caterpillars grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With no one out, Francisco Gallardo, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2042 draft, hit a solo home run off Elias Visscher, putting Grand Forks in front, 2-0. For Gallardo, it was his 5th home run of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gallardo said.
