Tight Tilt Goes to Vandals, 2-1

The Eugene Vandals eked out a 2-1 win versus the Rocky Mountain Vibes at The Riot Zone. Nobody did more than pitcher Harvey O'Keefe. He was terrific. O'Keefe picked up the win for Eugene, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Dan Taylor earned the save for Eugene, his 3rd of the year.
Carlos Rosales broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Vandals in front, 2-1. For the game, Rosales was 1-3.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Rocky Mountain manager Eduardo López.
With the win, Eugene boosts its record to 8-8.
