Crawdads Make It 4 In a Row with 4-1 Triumph Over Belleville
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Cut Off Crawdads topped the Belleville Bulls, 4-1, in M3L Single A action at Belleville Field. The standout performance belonged to Cut Off pitcher and Hawaiian Gardens, California, native Bryan Griffin. The winning pitcher was Griffin, now 3-3. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. Lorenzo Ramos got the save, his 9th in 10 chances.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Anuenue-Akua Kemikilio? The Cut Off left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Crawdads on top, 2-0. For the game, Kemikilio had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Griffin said.
Cut Off now has a record of 52-39 with the win.
