Behind an impressive start by Edemona Babitu, Yucca Valley beat Mancelona, 2-0. Babitu picked up the win for Yucca Valley, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. Yucca Valley currently is in third place in the Menard's A at 51-39.
Shawn Pittman made an early impact for Yucca Valley when he stroked his 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Yellows on top, 1-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Yucca Valley manager Santiago Rigney.
