The Pontiac Godfathers weathered an outstanding game by Put-In-Bay center fielder Steve Younger to topple the Commodores, 8-4. Younger was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2. Steve Barnes recorded the save for Pontiac, his 1st of the season. Pontiac, now 9-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Pontiac took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Nick Christensen hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Godfathers.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Christensen.
