Walleye Squelch Hobeaus Offense in Shutout Win
Gabriel Nash never let the Hobeaus get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Walleye to a win, 3-0. In 5 innings, Nash surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Michael Kilshaw closed the door for Walla Walla, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Making an impact for the home team was Carlos Blanca. In the bottom of the fifth, the 21-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 2-0, Walleye.

"Gabriel -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Walleye manager Eddie O'Bryan. "He was the key to us winning."
