Roest Lifts Mangos to 6-5 Win
A good performance from third baseman Jeff Roest helped the Kingston Mangos defeat the Belleville Bulls, 6-5. Roest went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Mangos. The winner was Daniel Wyles, who threw 100 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits. Goro Abe was credited with the save for Kingston, his 1st of the season.

Roest had a big hit for Kingston with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. With Kingston leading 4-3, Roest hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Mangos up, 6-3.
