Eugene rode a decent outing from starter Mark Chandler to victory over the Pontiac Godfathers. The final score was 6-4. Yun-fat Ju got credit for the save for Eugene. It was his 1st of the year. The win takes Eugene to 5-5.

Ron Brown had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Eugene. He came through with a 2-run single to put Eugene in front, 5-2.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Chandler told the Eugene Times.
