Mancelona Torch starter Beau Kelley was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Syracuse Storm, 2-1. With the win, the Torch sit at 40-38.
Had Marvin Moore not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Moore hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Torch.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Moore. "But I have better dreams after a win."
