Torch Field was the site for M3L Single A action featuring the Mancelona Torch and Syracuse Storm.
Starting pitcher Luis Quintana was a major factor in the 5-1 Syracuse Storm triumph over the Mancelona Torch. Quintana got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Quintana allowed 1 run.
The Storm benefited from an error in the top of the first inning. Syracuse was leading 1-0 when Edward Tucker hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Syracuse in front, 2-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Syracuse manager Harris Bailey.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Syracuse.
