River Rats Lose By a Run at Niagara Falls, 4-3
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Niagara Falls Expos got the win.
The Niagara Falls Expos stopped the Columbia River Rats, 4-3, at Waterfall Park. The Expos got a big game from Duncan Hutchinson, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Niagara Falls reliever Kamaliela Kaulo picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Scotty Mays was saddled with the loss.
José Sandoval aided the Niagara Falls cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
Sandoval said his team "played with focus."
The win puts Niagara Falls at 41-32 this season.
