The Alameda Airmen topped the Columbia River Rats, 4-0, in M3L Single A action at Alameda Field. The standout performance belonged to Alameda pitcher and Cairo, Illinois, native Thomas Rivers. Donald Houston earned save number 17 this season. The Airmen improve their record to 30-35 with the win over Columbia.

Rivers, who dominated for Alameda, earned the victory to move to 4-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 6. Columbia batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
